This bibliographic study aims to analyze the feasibility of creating automation laboratories based on IoT systems for the training of higher technologists in Automation and Instrumentation, which is considered of great importance in the training of professionals in this field. To do so, the advantages by using IoT technologies and open-source software in the creation of such laboratories are examined. The results suggest that the implementation of automation laboratories based on IoT can significantly improve the quality of training for higher technologists, providing a more practical and updated learning environment in the use of emerging technologies. Additionally, it is highlighted that the use of open-source software can reduce the implementation costs of these laboratories, which could result in greater accessibility and availability. In summary, this study highlights the importance of creating automation laboratories based on IoT for the training of higher technologists in Automation and Instrumentation, and suggests the adoption of IoT technologies and open source software as a viable alternative for their implementation.
