Abstract

One of the largest consumers of electrical energy is residential and commercial users, within the electrical distribution system, by virtue of which an important burden on these users is lighting systems, which in most cases present high energy consumption due to their poor use, since even when an area does not present people to whom lighting is provided they remain in operation, this constitutes unnecessary energy consumption causing energy inefficiency. In addition, in the residential and commercial electrical system, the energy consumed by the lighting system is important within the payment of the electric service bill, therefore, an electronic device was designed and implemented that allows the optimization of energy consumption in Lighting systems. The automatic control system implemented for lighting control for incandescent and LED-type luminaires works autonomously, thanks to the fact that it is possible to program a trend curve for the behavior of people who come to an area of an installation. The lighting circuit control system is through the operation of a TRIAC for incandescent luminaires and a pulse width modulation signal (PWM) for led-type luminaires, the energy analysis was performed through a network analyzer equipment.
