Labeling of vehicles in Ecuador, based on fuel consumption, CO2 emissions and vehicle mileage.
Keywords:
Vehicle Labeling, CO2 Emissions, Fuel Consumption, Vehicle MileageAbstract
This project is based on an informative labeling tool for vehicles marketed in Ecuador from the 2018 -2019 period. Its objective is to raise awareness and inform owners about the environmental pollution that the vehicle is generating, as well as to recommend its state of maintenance. To carry out this research, the data collection methods and the comparative method have been used, from databases obtained from the IDAE (Institute for Diversification and Energy Saving) of Madrid Spain, from the INECC (National Institute of Ecology and Climate Change) of Mexico, as well as commercial houses. Once the reference or theoretical values for fuel economy and CO2 emissions have been collected, they are compared with the actual data of the vehicle. Using mathematical formulas, the real data of the vehicle is determined, where the vehicle's kilometers traveled are taken as an input variable to obtain an information sheet that indicates whether the vehicle is high, medium or low in ECO2R (real C02 emissions), CCR (Actual Fuel Consumption) and KRVR (Actual Vehicle Mileage). Finally, it is determined that the ideal values for a vehicle in Ecuador type M1 or N1, should have approximately a consumption of 6.50 liters / 100 km, and emissions of 142 grCO2 / km
