COMPARACIÓN DEL CONSUMO DE COMBUSTIBLE DEL SISTEMA HÍBRIDO ESTÁNDAR Y ENCHUFABLE EN UN TOYOTA PRIUS

La búsqueda de nuevos combustibles y la mitigación de contaminantes producidos por los motores de combustión interna son objetivos definidos para el cuidado del ambiente, en este artículo se presenta la reducción del consumo de combustible del vehículo híbrido Toyota Prius tercera generación al implementar un sistema enchufable y aumento de baterías de alto voltaje para mejorar su autonomía. Se planteó un modelo de protocolo a fin de realizar las pruebas de recorrido con ambos tipos de sistemas (estándar y enchufable), para determinar los parámetros de consumo de combustible del vehículo en ruta de carretera y ruta de ciudad, los datos se obtuvieron monitoreando valores con protocolos estandarizados de pruebas. La investigación generó una disminución de consumo de gasolina del 18% en carretera y 48% en ciudad por su motor de combustión interna, logrando así difundir el uso de vehículos híbridos y enchufables.
