Analysis of the use of different types of gasoline and additives in the useful life of some elements of an internal combustion engine
Keywords:
Pollution, Extra Gas, Super Gas, Octane Gainer, DetonationAbstract
Due to the increase in the use of extra gasoline in the city of Quito, due to the increase in the cost of super gasoline and advertising from different automotive companies, this research seeks to determine what happens with the different fungible elements of the engine, such as They are spark plug wires, spark plugs, gasoline and air filters. The methodology that was used was that of a field analysis, making measurements and verifications in the different elements, according to the manufacturer's manual, finding that the gasoline that works best in the engine is super gasoline, since its value in Octane in the national market is 92 octane, compared to 87 octane of the extra gasoline, serving three different vehicles in which the experimentation was carried out in lapses 600 km in each of them, with a final route of 2400 km.
