Abstract

This research work is based on improving the efficiency of an electric motor by improving its energy dissipation, based on its physical and mechanical properties of the standard constitution of the motors that are marketed in the Ecuadorian market, due to the fact that the world energy crisis has caused the optimization of resources.

The main problems that are generated in this type of engines are the excess of temperature when it exceeded 130 ° C and their RPM level, they are generally used in the industry and the demands to which they are going to be subjected. By means of an experimental methodology in which data taken from an electric motor and a quantitative method are started, the data is compared for its conclusion using the deduction method.

The results are based on the analysis of the initial parameters and options necessary to obtain the improvement in the design in which a straight parabolic fin profile is chosen with which the efficiency of heat dissipation increases from 97 to 98%; and its ability to transfer calories benefits 22% more.

With the data obtained, it was possible to determine mathematically and by computer simulation that it is feasible to convert the profile of the fins of a 1 HP electric motor from straight to a straight parabolic profile
